What is the KonoSuba anime about?

KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on this Wonderful World! (often shortened to KonoSuba) is a hilarious isekai anime series centered around Kazuma Satou, a high school student who dies a rather anticlimactic death and finds himself in the afterlife.

The goddess Aqua offers him a chance to reincarnate in a fantasy world, allowing him to choose one overpowered item or ability to aid him in his new life. Believing he’s being clever, Kazuma chooses Aqua herself, only to discover she’s not only useless but also drags him into even more ridiculous and chaotic situations.

They’re joined by Megumin, an explosion-obsessed wizard with limited mana, and Darkness, a masochistic crusader with a penchant for taking hits.
