Exciting news for fans of the Baki anime series! Following the intense events of Baki Hanma, the saga continues with a brand new anime series titled Baki-Dou.
While Baki Hanma concluded with the epic showdown between Baki and his father, Yujiro, marking a significant moment in Baki’s journey for strength and revenge, the manga’s story didn’t end there.
Keisuke Itagaki, the original creator of the series, continued the narrative with several sequels, and now the next chapter of Baki Hanma’s story is set to make its animated debut.
Baki-Dou is the fourth official manga series in the Baki franchise, initially serialized in Akita Shoten’s Weekly Shonen Champion in 2014.
What is the story of Baki-Dou?
The story of Baki-Dou picks up after Baki achieves victory over his father, Yujiro, the strongest fighter of his time.
With Yujiro defeated, the other fighters in the series find themselves restless and bored, unable to find opponents who can match the intensity of the father-son conflict.
However, things take a thrilling turn when a series of experiments result in the cloning of a legendary samurai from the 17th century, Musashi Miyamoto.
Musashi’s arrival sparks a new era of battles as he challenges the strength of the remaining fighters, setting the stage for epic confrontations and intense showdowns.
Baki-Dou release date and production
Although a specific release date or window of the upcoming anime has not yet been announced at the time of this writing, it is confirmed that the animation production will be handled by TMS Entertainment, promising high-quality visuals and action-packed scenes.
As of now, details about the upcoming anime, such as its production staff, and voice cast, have yet to be revealed.
With TMS Entertainment at the helm, the next Baki anime promises to deliver the same adrenaline-pumping action and martial arts mastery that fans have come to love from the series.
