Bleach TYBW part 3 episode 5 is set to intensify the battle as Ichigo Kurosaki deals with the betrayal of Uryu Ishida, his former friend and ally.

In Bleach TYBW episode 30, titled “The Betrayer,” the battle between Yhwach, the Quincy King, and the defenders of the Soul Society reached a critical stage.

Yhwach, intent on absorbing the Soul King and reshaping the worlds to his will, discovered that the right arm of the Soul King, Mimihagi, had intervened to aid in the Soul King’s defense. Despite this, Yhwach pressed forward, determined to destroy the Soul King and Mimihagi.

Ichigo Kurosaki, having been holding Yhwach’s sword, released it and grabbed Yhwach’s arm, attempting to halt his progress. Meanwhile, Yoruichi Shihoin constructed a barrier around the Soul King’s remains to stabilize them.

As Ichigo struggled, Yhwach mocked him, pointing out his inability to kill the man who had been responsible for his mother’s death. Ichigo was on the verge of attacking when an arrow struck Yoruichi. The attacker was revealed to be Uryu Ishida, Ichigo’s former ally, who had now aligned himself with Yhwach.

Yoruichi’s injury caused the barrier she had erected to collapse, and she fell from the Soul Palace. Uryu confronted Ichigo, declaring he had chosen to side with Yhwach because of his Quincy heritage. Ichigo, shocked and betrayed, engaged Uryu in battle.

Uryu’s betrayal was driven by his discovery of a hidden diary from his father, Ryuken Ishida, which revealed the Soul Reapers’ role in the Quincy massacre. This newfound knowledge fueled Uryu’s decision to fight for Yhwach, believing it would prevent further annihilation of his people​.

As Ichigo and Uryu fought, Uryu activated his Vollstandig, increasing his power and launching a series of powerful attacks. Ichigo managed to deflect some of Uryu’s arrows but was eventually struck and severely injured.

During this time, Yasutora “Chad” Sado, Orihime Inoue, and Ganju Shiba fought the Sternritter—Yhwach’s elite Schutzstaffel—including Gerard Valkyrie, Pernida Parnkgjas, and Askin Nakk Le Vaar. However, despite their efforts, Chad and his group were overwhelmed by Gerard​.

In the episode’s after-credits, with the added power of his strongest supporters, Yhwach was finally able to shatter the Soul King’s crystal shell and absorb his body and right arm, Mimihagi. This resulted in Yhwach’s transformation, as several eyes appeared on his face.
