The brothers travel to a town near Lake Towada, where they check into an inn for the night. As they discuss Rin’s feelings for Shiemi, Yukio’s secret training, and their sibling bond, a sense of camaraderie grows between them.
The next day, a revelation comes to light. Shura, it turns out, is involved in a blood pact made by her ancestor, Tatsuko Kirigakure. This curse requires her to bear a child before the age of 30. During a duel with Hachiro, a sealed Hydra, Shura is defeated and passes out.
Rin and Yukio finds her and brings her back to the inn. Upon waking, Shura reveals her tragic curse, and the brothers vow to help her find a solution.
However, their efforts are cut short when a powerful presence is felt at the inn, and Shura vanishes without a trace.
