At CinemaCon 2024, Crunchyroll announced that the Blue Lock movie Episode Nagi debuts in North American theaters on June 28, 2024, two months after its premiere in Japan.
Sony Pictures Entertainment announced on May 11, 2024, that the film will hit cinemas worldwide in June and July 2024.

This movie marks the Blue Lock franchise’s first venture onto the big screen following the anime adaptation’s debut in 2022.
The film itself adapts a spin-off series illustrated by Kota Sonnomiya. It expands on the original Blue Lock manga created by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and illustrated by Yusuke Nomura.
Shunsuke Ishikawa, who previously served as assistant director on the anime, steps behind the director’s chair. The animation studio 8-Bit brings the movie to life.
