Chainsaw Man chapter 188 recap
After being trapped in a perfect world where nothing dies, Denji devises a plan to help Pochita in the real world by consuming a forest of tree-humans.
This gave the Black Chainsaw Man virtually unlimited lives. Unfortunately, the Aging Devil is practically unkillable, so Pochita brings back an old face to join the fight.
CSM chapter 188 opens up with Denji puking out the Octopus Devil Public Safety Agent Hirofumi Yoshida who proposes a temporary alliance after getting a sitrep.
When asked why Denji would trust someone technically allied with the Aging Devil, Yoshida explains that they’d have a higher chance of survival if they work together.
After Asa points out that he wouldn’t have anything to contribute due to Devil powers being defunct, the Agent politely asks Denji if he can shove his hand in his mouth.
While this hints at Yoshida giving the Black Chainsaw Man the Davy Jones treatment in the real world, it could be a ploy to block the connection between Pochita and Denji’s stomachs. That said, Yoshida wasn’t there when Public Safety pledged their lives to the Aging Devil, so all bets are off.
