Chainsaw Man chapter 190 recap
The struggle against the Aging Devil continues with Hirofumi Yoshida ordering the Octopus Devil to swallow a Primal Fear.
The Aging Devil is transported to an inky darkness. It questions if it’s finally been consumed by the Chainsaw Devil before it hears a voice that condemns it for its betrayal, asking why it “[sent] that devil to our world?!”
The voice is revealed to be the crazed ex-hunter, who emerges from Pochita’s mouth to pull the Primal Devil into Denji’s stomach – transporting him, Aging Devil, and his old man stool into the Aging Devil’s world.
The Octopus Devil’s head disappears, and it’s implied that Fumiko dispatches the crippled traitors who allied with the Aging Devil.
It turns out not even the Aging Devil can use its powers inside its demi-plane. Knowing this, Yoshida and the others force their foe into a contract: they all return to their respective worlds and never fight each other again in return for a way out.
Fearing the alternative (being stuck with Denji for thousands of years), the Aging Devil wordlessly agrees.
The next panels show crowds of citizens hunting mutated Chainsaw Man church disciples with bats and makeshift spears. Amidst the carnage, the group (along with Fami) treats themselves in a diner.
A mutant bursts into the cafe, but is shortly handled by the armed mob. Yoshida rejoices in returning to their “normal lives” while watching it get pierced by spears. Somewhere, the crazy ex-hunter helps cart off rubble, and the old Cabal leader shakily shouts for help inside the Aging Devil’s world.
