Killer machines continue to ravage cities worldwide, consuming any and all civilians on sight and spitting out their remains as red mist. The mastermind behind these attacks is revealed to be none other than Norland.
The Black Knights have their hands full coordinating a global defense against the rampaging machines. Narah even joins the fray, unbeknown to her that Norland is behind the attacks.
During these attacks, Sakuya and Ash rush to the palace looking for Sakura and Norland.

Surprisingly, Catherine helps Sakura escape the palace through an underground tunnel. Her heart was moved by Sakura’s determination and kindness for the people around her.
Sakuya finds Norland and tries to use her Geass on him. It doesn’t work — she soon learns Norland is in fact a clone of her grandfather, Emperor Charles zi Britannia. His motivation for wanting to destroy humanity remains a mystery, but his actions are undeniably catastrophic.
