Shueisha Games has unveiled two new board games based on its popular manga series, Death Note and My Hero Academia.
The Death Note board game, a thrilling social deduction game titled “Death Note Werewolf,” pits players against each other in a battle of wits reminiscent of the iconic Light Yagami versus L showdown.
Players assume secret roles, either supporting Light’s quest to eliminate criminals or aiding L’s investigation to unmask the mysterious Kira. The game concludes when one side successfully achieves its objective.
Shueisha fans, you wouldn’t want to miss out on these new My Hero Academia and Death Note board games
Designed for groups of four to seven players, the Death Note board game promises intense gameplay that can be enjoyed in just 20 minutes.
Death Note is a psychological thriller manga written by Tsugumi Ohba and illustrated by Takeshi Obata. The story revolves around Light Yagami, a brilliant high school student who discovers a mysterious notebook with the power to kill anyone whose name is written in it.
For a more relaxed gaming experience, the My Hero Academia board game, “My Hero Academia Your Best Memory,” offers a casual card-collecting game for three to five players. Featuring 240 cards showcasing iconic moments from the manga, players compete to create their ultimate My Hero Academia album.
My Hero Academia is a popular manga and anime series created by Kohei Horikoshi. Set in a world where superpowers called “quirks” are commonplace, the story follows Izuku Midoriya, a young boy born without a quirk but with a burning desire to become a hero.
Both board games are slated for release in Winter 2024, between December 2024 and February 2025.
Shueisha Games has previously released board games inspired by popular manga series such as Bleach, One Piece, Haikyuu!!, and Jujutsu Kaisen.
