What is the Demon Slayer series about?
Demon Slayer, also known as Kimetsu no Yaiba, is a Japanese manga and anime series set in Taisho-era Japan (early 20th century).
The story follows Tanjiro Kamado, a teenager who finds his family slaughtered by demons. His younger sister, Nezuko, survives but is turned into a demon herself.
Determined to avenge his family and find a cure for Nezuko, Tanjiro trains to become a Demon Slayer. He joins the Demon Slayer Corps, a group dedicated to protecting humans from demons.
As he progresses, Tanjiro encounters other demon slayers, faces powerful demons, and unravels the mysteries surrounding the origins of demons and the elusive demon king, Muzan Kibutsuji.
Demon Slayer season 3 recap
In Demon Slayer season 3’s Swordsmith Village Arc, Tanjiro’s primary mission is to replace his broken Nichirin sword, the vital weapon for slaying demons.
This quest leads him to the hidden village where these specialized blades are forged. He encounters the Love Hashira Misturi Kanroji and the Mist Hashira Muichiro Todoki during his visit.
However, their peaceful stay is shattered by a coordinated attack from Upper Demon Moons Gyokko and Hantengu. These high-ranking demons aim to cripple the Demon Slayers by destroying their source of Nichirin swords.
The ensuing battle is fierce and reveals a groundbreaking truth. Nezuko, despite being a demon, exhibits exceptional resistance to sunlight—a weakness all demons have possessed since the rise of the Demon King Muzan.
This discovery excited Muzan, as he views Nezuko as the key to achieving sunlight immunity and ultimate immortality.
Recognizing the heightened threat, the remaining Hashira make a crucial decision. They unite to train Tanjiro and the other members, preparing them for the inevitable showdown against Muzan.
This intensive training will be paramount as they face the challenges in their fight against the ultimate evil.
