Senku and the Kingdom of Science kick off the season with a thrilling voyage and a “Fair” poker game to determine their route across the seas.
In Dr Stone season 4 episode 2, the crew continues their journey at sea, bracing for the challenges ahead.
To maintain morale and efficiency, Gen and Francois focus on ensuring the crew’s happiness, while the warrior team, led by Tsukasa, takes charge of rigorous training sessions, preparing everyone for the obstacles awaiting them on their groundbreaking expedition.

Senku and the Kingdom of Science embark on their journey to America, but the crew faces an early challenge as Senku and Ryusui debate which route to take.
Ryusui, in his role as captain, advocates for a direct path that would take 70 days. In contrast, Senku argues for a shorter 40 day route, requiring twice the crew’s effort to ensure they reach America in time to harvest corn for the revival fluid production.
Gen sides with Ryusui to avoid heavy labor, while Kohaku supports Senku’s efficient plan. To resolve the stalemate, they decide on a high-stakes poker match.
Gen and Ryusui team up against Senku, who partners with Kohaku to watch for any cheating from Gen. Ukyo is assigned as the dealer, ensuring fairness during the tense game.
The poker session begins with wins on both sides until a pivotal hand appears. Senku bets everything, suspecting Gen of foul play, but Gen denies it, asking everyone to inspect the cards for tampering.
This distraction allows Gen to execute a sleight of hand changing their hand. Ryusui, confident in their strategy, also goes all-in.
In a dramatic reveal, Ryusui shows a Four of a Kind Aces, but Senku triumphs with a Royal Straight Flush. It is later revealed that Senku marked the key cards using urushi lacquer and used his allergy to it to gain the upper hand. Ukyo, amused, notices that the deck contained five aces, but no one else caught it.
Despite losing, Ryusui acknowledges the crew’s effort and insists on balancing their workload. To keep morale high, he develops a casino and bar aboard the Perseus, providing the team with a way to relax during the grueling 70 day journey.
