Introducing the Dragon Raja anime, a Chinese donghua series also known as Long Zu or “Blazing Dawn. Produced by Tencent and animated by Garden Culture, this series is based on Jiang Nan’s novel series.
The anime’s initial season, consisting of 16 episodes, aired from August 19 to November 25, 2022. It follows Lu Mingfei, a high school student whose life takes a dramatic turn after receiving an admission letter from Kassel College, thrusting him into a world where dragons are real.
Season 2 returns in 2024, continuing Lu Mingfei’s adventure at Kassel College and his encounters with dragons.

In Dragon Raja, our protagonist, Lu Mingfei, is an 18-year-old facing academic rejection and social struggles.
His life takes a dramatic turn when he receives an unexpected acceptance letter and scholarship from Cassell College, a mysterious institution in the United States.
Initially dismissing it as a scam, Mingfei’s perception changes when he is rescued by Chen Motong, also known as Nono, a student who happens to be from Cassell College.
Upon enrolling at the university, Mingfei discovers a startling truth: dragons are real, and Cassell College exists to train dragon slayers.
As a hybrid, a human with dragon genes, Mingfei is expected to manifest supernatural abilities. However, to his dismay, he appears to be a regular human without any discernible powers. Despite this, the principal assigns him an “S-Rank” status, deeming him exceptionally talented.
To add to the mystery, Mingfei begins experiencing visions of a mysterious boy. As he navigates the challenges of his new life, Mingfei must come to terms with his identity and destiny as a dragon slayer in training.
Dragon Raja season 2 release date
The anime’s season 2 release date is April 2024. An exact date has yet to be announced.

Dragon Raja extends its universe into the realm of mobile gaming with a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) developed by Loong Entertainment.
It was made available for iOS and Android devices, the game made its debut in North America, South America, and the EMEA regions on February 27, 2020.
Powered by Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 4, Dragon Raja offers a diverse range of gameplay experiences. In addition to traditional features like PvE and PvP battles, players can immerse themselves in various minigames, including cooking and sports.
