What is Kaiju no 8 about?
In a world plagued by monstrous creatures called kaiju, Kafka Hibino, harbors a dream of joining the Defense Force and battling kaiju alongside his childhood friend Mina Ashiro. However, after failing multiple recruitment attempts, Kafka resigns himself to a mundane job cleaning up kaiju corpses.
Kafka’s life takes an unexpected turn when he ingests a small kaiju, transforming him into a human-kaiju hybrid. This newfound power grants him superhuman abilities but also lands him on the Defense Force’s wanted list under the codename “Kaiju No. 8.”
