Hunter x Hunter chapter 402 is fast approaching. After the series’ nearly 2-year hiatus, fans eagerly anticipate the next twists in Kurapika’s battle to survive the deadly succession war among the Kakin Princes.

On the tenth day of the voyage, at 11:45 a.m., Kurapika and Bill meet with Longhi in Room 1014 to awaken her Nen.
However, Longhi reveals that she already knows Nen and presents her ability, Transparent Words—Moonlight Act, a conditional Manipulation technique. She explains that her ability can form a contract with someone, restricting their actions.
Kurapika grows suspicious of her intentions, drawing his gun and Dowsing Chain. Still, Longhi calmly continues, explaining that her contract is tied to Prince Tubeppa, though Tubeppa is unaware of her ability.
Longhi then reveals her deeper purpose: she is the biological daughter of Beyond Netero, recruited into the Royal Military Academy along with others in similar circumstances. These individuals, all children of Beyond, were trained to serve the Kakin Princes.
Longhi explains that she discovered the truth about her heritage after realizing she lacked the genetic traits of her adoptive father. Her loyalty to Kakin continued despite her revelations until the succession contest began.
Longhi reveals that Beyond had cursed her and her siblings, turning them into “curse sacrifices.” Each of them carries a powerful Nen curse, which will be unleashed upon their death, intended to kill their assigned targets.
Longhi shows the cursed seal on her tongue, explaining that this curse is the strongest form of Nen, and it cannot be removed by ordinary means. She suggests that these curses are meant to influence the ongoing succession war between the Kakin Princes.
Kurapika asks if the curses are meant for the Princes, and Longhi speculates that this is the case, given the number of sacrifices and the number of Princes.
However, she believes Beyond’s ultimate goal might not be to influence the succession but to ensure one of his children ascends the throne. She hints that one of the Princes could be Beyond’s child, which shocks Kurapika and the others. They begin to question the legitimacy of the succession contest.
As the conversation progresses, Bill becomes concerned that those outside will grow suspicious of how long the meeting takes. Kurapika insists on hearing the full story before making any decisions.
Longhi continues, outlining a peace agreement between Prince Tubeppa and Prince Woble, mediated by her ability. The agreement would prevent either side from attacking or interfering with the other’s Princes, Queens, or guards.
Longhi also reveals a personal motive: if she confirms that one of the Princes is Beyond’s child, she plans to kill them herself. This revelation shocks Kurapika, but his Dowsing Chain does not detect any lies from her. Longhi’s intention to kill Beyond’s child shows her desire to take control of her fate, breaking away from Beyond’s manipulations.
The meeting ends with Kurapika and the others left to contemplate the revelations. Furykov, who had been monitoring Kurapika’s aura, notes subtle changes and speculates about what transpired during the meeting.
Kurapika maintains a composed demeanor, explaining to those outside that the negotiation with Tubeppa is ongoing, leaving room for further developments in the tense succession war.
