Based on Gege Akutami’s hit manga, these arcs originally aired as the first five episodes of season 2, spanning from July 6, 2024, to August 3, 2024.
The announcement, made on December 21, 2024, highlighted the film’s focus on pivotal moments in Satoru Gojo’s backstory.
Additionally, MAPPA unveiled a teaser poster for Jujutsu Kaisen season 3, which includes the quote, “I can’t be with you guys anymore.”
Jujutsu Kaisen Hidden Inventory arc and Premature Death arc
The Hidden Inventory arc and Premature Death arc explore significant events in the Jujutsu Kaisen timeline, offering an in-depth look at Satoru Gojo’s past.
These arcs highlight Gojo’s days at Tokyo Jujutsu High, his close relationship with Suguru Geto, and their mission involving the Star Plasma Vessel, Riko Amanai. The two arcs also delve into Gojo’s confrontation with Toji Fushiguro, an encounter that significantly impacts the jujutsu world.
The Hidden Inventory arc, covering manga chapters 65 to 75, was adapted into the first four episodes of season 2.
The Gojo Past arc storyline concludes with the Premature Death arc, which spans chapters 76 to 78 and was adapted into the fifth episode of season 2.
