Gege Akutami’s Jujutsu Kaisen continues to surprise the manga world, leaving fans searching for answers after chapter 260’s explosive finale.
As we eagerly await the Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 261 release date, let’s go through the key moments that will surely impact the Shinjuku Showdown arc.
In chapter 260, Aoi Todo triumphantly returned alongside his best friend, Yuji Itadori. The duo pushes Ryomen Sukuna to unleash his most powerful technique.
However, the tide of the battle shifted dramatically with the unexpected appearance of a ghost on the battlefield. The identity of this spectral figure remains a mystery, but its presence visibly rattled the King of Curses.
Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 260 recap
Chapter 260 opened with Todo showcasing his revised Boogie Woogie cursed technique. Having lost his left hand to Mahito during the Shibuya Incident arc, Todo could not participate in battles due to the technique requiring two hands.
Todo incorporated a vibraslap, a percussion instrument with a ball connected to a wooden box containing metal pieces to overcome this limitation. By tapping the ball, he could generate a unique sound that activated his technique.
Todo had replaced his lost hand with a vibraslap, modifying the activation requirement from a clap to a metal piece striking a wooden box. This innovation now allows Todo to perform 50 position swaps per second.
The improved Boogie Woogie technique overwhelmed Sukuna, with Todo and Yuji landing blow after blow at an accelerated pace.
Furthermore, by entering a Binding Vow that limited the number of swaps per stroke on the vibraslap, Todo could select multiple cursed techniques and expand their effective range.
With the assistance of Yuta Okkotsu, Todo had previously refined his technique in Lake Gosho colony. He then used his newfound power to help his allies escape Sukuna’s Malevolent Shrine.
Just as Sukuna sustained significant damage and prepared his strongest move, Domain Expansion, a familiar figure materialized on the battlefield.
The chapter concluded with the narrator saying, “Sukuna saw a ghost of immense strength who he had buried with his own hands.”
