Dandadan Episode 8 recap
Episode 8 began with the group, now including Aira Shiratori, enjoying a meal together at Momo Ayase’s home.
Aira and Momo continued their heated argument, with Aira accusing Momo of being a demon and the leader of a group of demons that included Ken “Okarun” Takakura, Seiko Ayase, and Turbo Granny.
Despite her distrust, Aira seemed conflicted. Before leaving, she confronted Okarun, asking why he had kept trying to save her despite being a demon.
Okarun replied that he didn’t need a reason—if someone needed help, he helped them. This response softened Aira, convincing her that Okarun still retained his humanity. Before departing, she vowed to liberate him from Momo’s supposed control.
With Aira gone, Turbo Granny successfully used the golden ball she had retrieved to restore one of Okarun’s missing private parts. However, the group still had no leads on the second golden ball.
Determined to get ahead in the search, Momo suggested collaborating with Okarun during lunch and after school. Surprisingly, Okarun declined, claiming he had a report to complete.
In reality, he wanted to secretly practice the strengthening exercises Seiko had recommended so he could be of better use to Momo during their next encounter with demons or ghosts.
While training, Okarun was interrupted by Aira, who had sought him out to confess her feelings. However, Okarun misinterpreted her actions, assuming she had been possessed by a demon again, and rejected her.
Their argument escalated until Momo stumbled upon the scene. Seeing Okarun with Aira, Momo grew angry, believing he had lied to her and had been fooling around.
The school day continued as tensions lingered—until Okarun, Aira, and Momo were suddenly transported to a mysterious alternate realm. There, a dinosaur-like monster appeared and began hunting Momo.
Meanwhile, Okarun and Aira were confronted by a boxer-type alien. As Okarun prepared to fight, the Serpoians unexpectedly returned.
The Serpoians subdued Okarun and revealed their intent to steal his powers for experimentation. Just when the situation seemed dire, Aira transformed into her Acrobatic Silky form, rescued Okarun, and set the stage for what was to come.
