Dandadan episode 6 recap
Episode 6, titled A Dangerous Woman Arrives, opened with Turbo Granny revealing that she had wrapped Okarun’s missing parts in her spiritual energy, creating a small, golden orb around five centimeters in diameter.
Momo and Okarun assumed they would never find it again, as it was likely lost in a public area. However, Turbo Granny explained that spirits and yokai monsters are naturally drawn to such objects. She mentioned that many spirits believe collecting items with strong life force might allow them to return to life.
With this information, Momo and Okarun abandoned their search and returned to Seiko Ayase, who advised them to remain cautious because of Okarun’s new, unstable powers.
Later, when Okarun arrived at school, a fellow student approached him, asking for an introduction to Momo. This student then started spreading rumors about Momo, which triggered Okarun’s spirit powers to activate unexpectedly, scaring the student away.
It was then revealed that Turbo Granny had snuck into Okarun’s school backpack. Soon after, Momo spotted Okarun in the hallway, but Okarun, flustered by the earlier conversation about Momo’s attractiveness, decided not to mention Turbo Granny’s presence.
Meanwhile, Aira Shiratori walked down the hall, noticing people couldn’t stop staring at her. She considered herself generous for acknowledging others, even those she looked down upon.
However, Aira harbored resentment toward Momo because of an incident in the previous episode where a washtub had fallen on her head. In retaliation, Aira had been spreading malicious rumors about Momo.
Aira was also convinced that Momo is a demon, having seen a giant hand behind Momo during the incident. Aira believed she was “chosen” after her powers mysteriously awakened.
Unbeknownst to Momo and Okarun, Aira now possessed the golden orb they were searching for. She had found it and interpreted its sudden appearance as a sign that she was destined to rid the world of evil demons. Determined to exorcise Momo, Aira asked her friends to gather a Bible and a Holy Cross for the ritual.
Aira began to see strange things only she could perceive at school, which made her appear odd to her friends. Meanwhile, Turbo Granny told Momo and Okarun that she had located a woman they should investigate. She warned that the golden orb could awaken someone’s spiritual powers, putting them at risk of spirits attacking them.
After school, Aira approached Momo, inviting her to an abandoned factory. Once there, Aira and her friends ambushed Momo, forcing Momo to use her powers in self-defense.
Okarun soon appeared at the factory, tracking them by following a ghost in a red dress who had been haunting Aira all day. The ghost explained that she had been following Aira, waiting until Aira could finally see her due to her recently awakened powers. This ghost claimed to be Aira’s mother.
To protect Aira, Okarun transformed into his Turbo Granny form. Despite his efforts, the ghost swallowed him whole. Meanwhile, Aira ranted, declaring that the ghost was merely a demon she needed to defeat to fulfill her destiny.
This infuriated the ghost, who then swallowed Aira as well. The ghost then turned to Momo, blaming her for Aira’s rebellious behavior, and consumed Momo, too.
However, Turbo Granny confronted the ghost, revealing that it had ingested some of her hair along with Momo. Combined with Aira’s Holy Cross—a lighter—this caused the ghost to ignite and burst into flames.
As a result, the ghost regurgitated Aira, Okarun, and Momo. The episode concluded with Momo and her companions preparing to face the ghost in a second showdown.
