In Kaiju no 8 chapter 121, Kafka Hibino transformed into a new form. The Defense Force’s command center identified it as a mutation, explaining that it was neither human nor monster, making it impossible to measure Kaiju no 8’s resilience.
The command center feared that Kafka’s new form could become hostile and threaten humanity’s survival. However, Kafka remained in control and stayed focused on defeating Kaiju no 9.
After transforming, Kafka became aware of Kaiju no 8’s energy source—the negative emotions of those killed by powerful monsters. Seeing Kafka’s new form, Kaiju no 9 immediately charged at him.
