Dragon Ball Daima episode 5 recap
The episode opened with a mysterious figure confronting Goku, Glorio, and Supreme Kai Shin, questioning how they managed to fend off the Gendarmerie. Goku explained that it was easy for him because of his extensive training.
When Panzy asked where they were headed, Goku quickly responded, “Kadan Castle,” without consulting Glorio or Shin. Panzy then expressed her desire to join them on their journey. Meanwhile, back in the town they had just left, the Gendarmerie declared Goku a fugitive, urging everyone to look for him.
Panzy slowly gained Goku and Shin’s trust as the group traveled, though Glorio remained suspicious of her. Panzy revealed that all Majins possess magical abilities, and her specialty was tinkering with machines.
Throughout the journey, Panzy continued to ask questions about Goku and his companions, particularly about Shin, who resembled Degesu, King Gomah’s second-in-command.
Panzy explained that life had been difficult under Dabura’s reign, but it had only worsened under Gomah. The average lifespan in the Third Demon World was a mere 1,000 years.
Upon reaching Kadan Castle, the group hoped to borrow a ship. Meanwhile, in Gomah’s castle, the new Demon Realm King kept Dende captive, intending to use the Namekian to create more Dragon Balls when he matured.
At Kadan Castle, Glorio requested an audience with King Kadan. It was revealed that Panzy was actually the princess of Kadan Castle and King Kadan’s daughter. King Kadan disclosed that Glorio had approached him, claiming he could find someone from the outside world who could defeat Majin Buu and King Gomah.
King Kadan expressed his disdain for King Gomah, insisting he was a villain unworthy of the throne. He vowed to become the new Supreme Demon Realm King and bring peace after defeating Gomah. King Kadan then proposed that Goku marry Panzy when they came of age. However, Goku declined, explaining that he was already married and have children.
Shin then shared that Gomah had transformed them into children using the Dragon Balls from Earth and that their friend Dende had been taken. King Kadan agreed to lend them a plane but asked Goku to demonstrate his strength before they left to gather the Demon Realm Dragon Balls and confront the Tamagami.
In response, Goku was asked to face King Kadan’s strongest warriors. Whoever defeated Goku would receive a raise. Goku effortlessly defeated all the soldiers, leaving King Kadan and Panzy amazed.
With preparations complete, King Kadan gave them all necessary supplies and assigned a new pin number to their ship, granting them authorized access to travel through Warp.
Shin also requested King Kadan’s help securing a pin number for the second group of Z-Fighters—Vegeta and company—so they could reunite with Goku. King Kadan instructed one of his subordinates, Hybis, to retrieve Goku’s friends from Earth. Additionally, he ordered more soldiers to visit the Nemophy Gang to steal a mid-size plane that would accommodate four of Goku’s friends.
Panzy declared she was going with Goku, determined to see Gomah’s downfall firsthand. Though King Kadan was against the idea, Goku assured him he would protect her.
Before their departure, Shin warned Goku that Glorio was hiding something. When Glorio joined them, he claimed the king had requested their assistance, but the king clarified that it was, in fact, Glorio who had approached him.
Glorio informed them that reaching the first Dragon Ball in the Third Demon World would take four days. Shortly after, the engine of their ship began to malfunction. Panzy suspected it was because of the excessive weight from her supplies, which the craft couldn’t handle.
The episode concluded with the group crashing their new ship.
