In the year 2052, global peace and prosperity reign thanks to Dr. Skinner’s revolutionary drug, Hapuna.
However, Skinner disappears, only to return three years later with a dire revelation — Hapuna’s short half-life means impending doom for its users.
Enter Lazarus, a task force of five international agents racing against time to find Skinner, unravel the mystery, and develop a life-saving vaccine.

On October 20, 2024, during New York Comic Con 2024, it was announced that the anime would be released in 2025.

Neither Watanabe, MAPPA, nor Adult Swim have released official information regarding Lazarus’s character names or the seiyuu (voice actors).

Where to watch the Lazarus anime
Lazarus debuts on the Toonami block of Adult Swim in North America. At the time of writing, streaming platforms have yet to announce if they will broadcast Lazarus when it airs.
Since the show is an Adult Swim program, it will likely stream on Max because of their shared affiliation under Warner Bros. Discovery.
