The My Hero Academia new movie is venturing into uncharted territory for the superhero-themed anime series.
Toho Animation announced the fourth movie in the series, titled My Hero Academia You’re Next, revealing its first trailer and poster. The movie will hit cinemas in Japan on August 2, 2024.
The trailer and poster feature an antagonistic version of All Might, posing the intriguing question: What if My Hero Academia’s Symbol of Peace embraced a villainous role?
Bones also announced that Mamoru Miyano and Meru Nukumi will join the My Hero Academia You’re Next cast, playing new characters Giulio Gandini and Anna Scervino.

The trailer, released on January 30, 2024, revisits the intense clash between All Might and All for One from season 3.
Following the epic battle, All Might retires as a hero and passes on the responsibility of becoming the Symbol of Peace to My Hero Academia’s main protagonist, Izuku “Deku” Midoriya.
Set after the events of the Dark Hero Arc in season 6, My Hero Academia You’re Next sees Deku returning to U.A. High, reuniting with his Class 1-A companions, who are diligently working to maintain peace and order.
However, a new threat comes in the form of an All Might doppelganger, posing a new challenge to hero society.
On May 31, 2024, Japanese animation studio Bones announced two notable additions to the My Hero Academia You’re Next cast
Original characters Giulio Gandini and Anna Scervino make their debut
Veteran voice actor Mamoru Miyano plays the butler Giulio Gandini, and Japanese actress and model Meru Nukumi portrays the elegant lady Anna Scervino. Both characters are new to the My Hero Academia series, created specifically for the You’re Next movie.
Mamoru Miyano is renowned for voicing beloved anime characters such as Light Yagami from Death Note, Ling Yao from Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, Chrollo Lucilfer from Hunter x Hunter, Sweet Mask from One Punch Man, Atsumu Miya from Haikyuu, and Kei Kaname from Oblivion Battery.
Meru Nukumi is a well-known TV personality in Japan who frequently appears in mass media, especially as a panelist on variety shows.
