Solo Leveling season 2 episode 3 recap
The episode began with Yoo Jinho expressing shock at Sung Jinwoo’s newly acquired Shadow Army, which enabled them to clear dungeons effortlessly. The new soldiers also assisted in collecting crystals after defeating the dungeon’s enemies.
In a distant location, a mysterious long-haired man was seen conversing with an English-speaking hunter on a wrecked ship. The mysterious individual had defeated the group of hunters and instructed the last one standing to escort him out of the dungeon.
Jinho and Jinwoo then celebrated their nearing completion of the goal to clear 20 dungeons together. Jinho intended to become a Guild Master and use this achievement to negotiate with his father. They agreed that if he could get Jinwoo to sign with their family’s guild, Jinho would be appointed Guild Master.
Meanwhile, the mysterious foreign hunter successfully exited the gate but was immediately taken into custody. The hunter’s name was revealed to be Sung Il-hwan, who had been trapped in a gate for more than 10 years.
Since he could not speak English, the authorities requested that Hwang Dongsoo return to America to escort the mysterious hunter back to his origin.
After leveling up three times since defeating Cerberus, Jinwoo returned to the special dungeon and used the red key to unlock a new castle section.
Jinwoo had finally collected 10,000 Demon Souls to unlock his next test: defeat the Lord of the lower floors, Avaricious Vulcan. Defeating the demon would unlock Jinwoo’s 50th floor in the special dungeon. After defeating Vulcan, Jinwoo was awarded the demon’s club weapon.
Elsewhere, Il-hwan explained to Dongsoo that the dungeons, gates, and magical beasts were just the tip of the iceberg and that a worldwide catastrophe was imminent. Il-hwan’s goal was to prevent it from happening.
Dongsoo then learned from Il-hwan’s file that he was Jinwoo’s father. A confrontation ensued, resulting in Dongsoo’s swift defeat and Il-hwan’s escape from custody.
Meanwhile, Jinwoo had finally cleared up to the 75th level of the dungeon, but having run out of supplies, he had to return. He collected numerous new items that enhanced him and his Shadow Army, but he still lacked the final item needed to unlock the Elixir of Life essential to restore his mother’s health.
