Eiichiro Oda confirms One Piece live action season 2 arcs
The second season of One Piece live action covers Arabasta Saga’s Loguetown, Reverse Mountain (Twin Cape), Whiskey Peak, Little Garden, and Drum Island arcs, as stated by Eiichiro in his message. Arabasta Saga is the second saga of the manga and the anime after East Blue Saga.
In a nutshell, these arcs introduce the Straw Hats to the Grand Line and its challenges. Loguetown, known as the “Town of Execution,” is where Luffy’s past catches up with him.
Reverse Mountain is a colossal mountain they must navigate to reach the Grand Line. Whiskey Peak is a peaceful village with a hidden agenda.
Little Garden is a bizarre island where giants battle dinosaurs. Finally, Drum Island is a kingdom under siege by a tyrannical monarch, where Luffy encounters Chopper, his reindeer doctor.
Even though the Arabasta arc, the main storyline of the Arabasta Saga, won’t be included in the second season, its significance suggests it may be adapted in its entirety in a future season.
Eiichiro Oda also emphasized in his message that he, showrunner Matt Owens, Netflix, and Tomorrow Studios have a “verbal pledge.” “They’ve gone out of their way to promise that they won’t put the show out until I’m satisfied,” he wrote.
The second season of the One Piece live action series premieres later in 2025.
The first season of the One Piece live action covered East Blue Saga, featuring story arcs Romance Dawn, Orange Town, Syrup Village, Baratie, and Arlong Park. It debuted on August 31, 2023.
The series stars Inaki Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy, the Straw Hat Pirates’ captain, Emily Rudd as Nami, the navigator, Mackenyu Arata as Roronoa Zoro, the swordsman, Taz Skylar as Sanji, the cook, and Jacob Gibson as Usopp, the sniper.
One Piece live action season 1 follows Luffy, a young man with the power to stretch like rubber, as he sets sail to find the legendary treasure, One Piece. Luffy assembles a crew of pirates, including Nami, Zoro, Sanji, and Usopp, and they go on a thrilling adventure across the Grand Line, facing dangerous enemies and discovering hidden secrets along the way.
