The episode opened with Aqua delivering an emotional performance fueled by his painful memories of his mother, Ai Hoshino’s murder. In the previous episode, during the Tokyo Blade stage play, Akane Kurokawa’s character, Princess Saya, sacrificed herself to save Aqua’s character, Touki.

Saya’s death sent Touki into a rage, leading him to attack Taiki Himekawa’s character, Blade. While the audience watched the final battle of the play, Aqua was reliving his tragic past, haunted by how many times he had wished he could have saved Ai, imagining how different his life could have been.

Although Blade ultimately defeated Touki, it was revealed that Saya had used her powers to heal everyone, friend and foe alike, leading to a ceasefire. The play concluded with the factions from Shibuya and Shinjuku ending their conflict.

After the performance, the audience and those close to the cast applauded the actors. Akane’s former castmates from the first season of the dating reality show praised her as a genius actor.

However, Akane felt most fulfilled by catching a glimpse of the version of Kana Arima she had idolized as a child.

Following the play, the production staff and actors went out to celebrate. Aqua seized this opportunity to get close to the play’s director, Toshiro Kindaichi. During their conversation, the director revealed that a group of student actors, including himself, had founded the Lala Lai Theatrical Company.

Toshiro explained that while their company had worked on various workshops and productions early on, many of these projects failed. When Aqua pressed him for more details, the director avoided discussing his past failures.

Curious about his mentor’s setbacks, Taiki took Aqua and Toshiro to a private bar frequented by actors in hopes of learning more.

Unfortunately, the director drank too much and passed out. It was then revealed that Aqua had been intentionally trying to get close to Taiki all along—he had a DNA test showing that they shared the same biological father.
