Season 1 of Ron Kamonohashi Deranged Detective begins with Totomaru “Toto” Isshiki, a young but struggling detective from the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, who was being pulled off important cases due to his failures.
Toto is introduced to Ron Kamonohashi, a once-brilliant detective who lost his license after a mysterious incident. Seeing an opportunity, Ron decides to help Toto solve cases, using him as a front to re-enter the detective world.
