The episode began in the aftermath of the previous events, during which Yhwach killed and absorbed the Soul King, unleashing dark, sludge-like invaders into the Seireitei.

Soul Reapers, including Soifon and Ikkaku Madarame, responded swiftly, defending the Research Lab against the threat. Byakuya Kuchiki utilized Senbonzakura to combat the invaders, but a portion of the Seireitei was overtaken despite their collective efforts.

At that moment, an overwhelming Spiritual Pressure crushed the invaders, signaling the arrival of Sosuke Aizen. He noted that fighting the invaders with swords was unnecessary when Spiritual Pressure was more than enough to eliminate them.

Shunsui Kyoraku, the new Captain Commander, explained that he had authorized Aizen’s temporary release to help fight against Yhwach. Aizen requested that his restraints be removed to assist more effectively, but Shunsui declined, stating that he could still help while confined.

While tensions rose, NaNaNa Najahkoop intervened and used his Schrift to immobilize Aizen temporarily, demonstrating an unexpected show of strength. Suddenly, Bazz-B shoots NaNaNa in the back and explains that they will help the Soul Reapers. Bazz-B, Giselle Gewelle, and Liltotto Lamperd wanted to get their revenge against Yhwach for abandoning them.

Shunsui then called on the Soul Reapers of the 13 Court Guard Squads to gather at the Research and Development Division, where he instructed them to channel their combined Spiritual Pressure to create a gateway to the Royal Palace.

Hiyori, Love, Lisa, and Hachigen appeared soon after, bringing bottles filled with a unique substance collected from the distortion connecting the Soul Society, the World of the Living, and the Precipice World.

Kisuke Urahara explained that this substance was essential for the gate’s activation and asked them to don their Shihakusho. Although Hiyori initially hesitated due to old grudges, Love reminded her of their duty and the sacrifices made by their allies, compelling her to assist.

Meanwhile, Aizen, immobilized by NaNaNa for five minutes, regained consciousness. Kisuke Urahara admitted the risk of being unable to return from the Royal Palace, prompting an angry response from Soifon, who rebuked him for doubting the Gotei 13’s resolve.

Aizen, watching the Soul Reapers and Quincies join forces, found the situation amusing but couldn’t help feeling envious that Ichigo Kurosaki had already reached the Royal Palace ahead of him.

At the Royal Palace, Ichigo regained consciousness after being healed by Orihime Inoue. Kon had saved Ichigo from a severe impact, enabling Orihime to treat his injuries.

Yoruichi Shihouin emphasized the urgency, worrying that Yhwach’s absorption of the Soul King’s power could soon unravel the world. Ichigo agreed but insisted they needed a secure way to return to the palace.

Unexpectedly, Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez appeared from a Garganta, surprising Ichigo and the others.
