Solo Leveling season 2 episode 6 picks up as Sung Jinwoo once again finds himself in a situation far more dangerous than expected.
What was supposed to be a routine raid quickly spirals out of control, leaving the strike team outmatched and desperate for a way out.
Though Jinwoo joined as nothing more than an equipment carrier, the looming threat asks how long he can keep his true strength hidden.
With high orcs closing in and the dungeon’s leader, Kargalgan, waiting in the shadows, survival is anything but certain.
Solo Leveling season 2 episode 5 recap
The episode opened with Cha Hae-in questioning Sung Jinwoo about why he was near the raid boss’s gate. Jinwoo claimed he got lost during his break. Hae-in ordered him to leave immediately, warning that the entire mining team could be wiped out if the boss was agitated.
As Jinwoo walked away, Hae-in noticed he smelled different from other hunters. Normally, she found the scent of hunters unpleasant, but Jinwoo was an exception. She moved closer to confirm he smelled good.
After the mining shift ended early, the team leader offered Jinwoo a job, noting his natural ability. Jinwoo declined but accepted an offer to work another shift the next day, as the Hunters Guild had planned back-to-back raids with A-rank and C-rank teams. The leader even agreed to pay him double.
After her encounter with Jinwoo, Hae-in had his background checked. She discovered that even her guild’s leader had looked into him, but no records existed.
During the C-rank raid, Jinwoo helped the mining team collect mana crystals faster, giving them extra rest before the A-rank raid. Before the next raid began, A-rank strike team leader Son Kihoon asked the mining team for a substitute equipment carrier. Jinwoo volunteered, and Kihoon accepted.
The strike team comprised six A-rank and three B-rank hunters from the Hunters Guild. Before entering, Jinwoo sensed the same ominous feeling he had before the Red Gate incident.
Inside, the dungeon was filled with high orcs. The strike team struggled, but with Jinwoo secretly weakening the enemies, they survived the first wave. Since Jinwoo used stealth, no one saw him interfere, but the team noticed the high orcs were unusually weak.
After regrouping, the team voted to retreat and call for reinforcements. Kihoon agreed. However, as they tried to exit, they found the gate closed. A second group of high orcs surrounded them but offered a choice: fight or meet their leader, Kargalgan. The episode ended as the team entered the dungeon boss’ lair.
