While Tokyo Revengers season 4 hasn’t explicitly confirmed its content, strong clues point towards the Bonten Arc. The Bonten Arc features a future far darker than anything Takemichi has faced before, and the Tokyo Revengers sequel’s key visual hinting at a battered Takemichi reinforces this possibility.

Tokyo Revengers season 3 wrapped up on a bittersweet victory for the protagonist. Through his perseverance, he seems to achieve the goal he set out for in the past. However, the celebration is short-lived.

The final scene shows Takemichi in conversation with a companion from his past, and their conversation hints that things in the future he created might not be entirely as he expected.

Tokyo Revengers, written and illustrated by Ken Wakui, is a manga that follows the life of Takemichi Hanagaki, a down-and-out 26-year-old. After learning his middle school girlfriend Hinata Tachibana died in a gang conflict, Takemichi is mysteriously sent back in time 12 years.

With a chance to rewrite the past, he vows to save Hinata and prevent her tragic fate. However, this future is entangled with the Tokyo Manji Gang, a notorious biker gang. Takemichi infiltrates the gang, befriending its charismatic leader Mikey and his right-hand man Draken.

As Takemichi navigates the gang’s violent world, he uncovers its internal conflicts and tries to prevent events leading to a dark future.

Originally serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine from 2017 to 2022, Tokyo Revengers’ success led to a popular anime adaptation that aired in 2021.

The series explores themes of friendship, delinquency, and the power of second chances, all wrapped in an action-packed story with a science fiction twist.
