The Way of the Househusband is a popular manga series written and illustrated by Kousuke Oono. It follows the story of Tatsu, a feared yakuza boss who decides to retire from his criminal lifestyle and become a full-time househusband to support his career-driven wife, Miku.
The series humorously portrays Tatsu’s transformation as he navigates the world of household chores, cooking, and grocery shopping while still retaining his formidable gangster skills and attitude.
It has been adapted into both a live-action television drama and a Netflix anime series. The drama, which aired in October 2020, stars Hiroshi Tamaki in the lead role of Tatsu.
