Who is Kaiju no 10 in Kaiju no 8?
At the end of episode 8, the monstrous cliffhanger introduced a formidable new Kaiju: Kaiju no 10.
This towering humanoid beast, first appearing in chapter 23 of the manga, boasted a menacing appearance with red, scale-like armor, sharp spikes on its back and tail, and a prominent horn reminiscent of a rhinoceros beetle.
Emerging as a creation of the monstrous Kaiju no 9, K10 is a ruthless and confident leader. It commands a pack of pterosaur-like Kaiju, known for their solitary nature, showcasing a compelling leadership dynamic.
A relentless force, K10 exudes an aura of intimidation. Its actions in the field are driven by a singular purpose, pushing it to its limits to achieve its objective.
The Third Division’s valiant efforts didn’t completely eradicate K10. Though severely damaged, its core and spine remained intact.
In a shocking turn of events, Izumo Tech, a prominent scientific organization, managed to weaponize the fallen Kaiju. K10 was transformed into a Numbers Weapon, a powerful combat suit piloted by a JAKDF member.
This dark-grey, scaly suit retains some of K10’s signature features: a long, mechanical tail, the iconic red cross-shaped eye, and pulsing green energy lines coursing through its arms and tail.
According to the official Kaiju no 8 X account (formerly Twitter), Kenta Miyake, a veteran Japanese voice actor known for his roles as All Might in My Hero Academia, Mike Zacharias in Attack on Titan, and Takenori Akagi in The First Slam Dunk movie, voices this Kaiju.
