Chapter 182 opens with a surprising heart-to-heart that leads to a bizarre escape plan.
An unexpected kiss snaps Denji out of his catatonic state. He then proceeds to lament how his life “alternates between sexy and terrible,” reflecting on his hopeless mistakes
The War Devil attempts to empathize, and Asa punches herself in the face to regain control of her body. She opens up about how her parents died, and how she still blames herself.
When Denji asks how she got over this, Asa says that it’s just not possible, but that Chainsaw Man taught her to continue living.
Before he can respond, Denji throws up the decapitated head of a fluffy devil. And the Aging Devil’s world gets covered in snow.
The last panels show us a flashback of Aki and Power (and presumably Denji) sailing over a snowy ocean, teasing a connection between a past mission and the mysterious devil he spit out.
