Will Umemiya maintain his leadership and ideals, or will Tomiyama’s reign of power prevail?
Did Sakura win against Togame? Wind Breaker episode 8 recap
In episode 8, Succeeding the Past, Jo Togame reflects on Shishitoren’s misguided path. The episode becomes a battle of beliefs as Togame realizes he should have challenged Tomiyama’s notion that Shishitoren is only for the strong.
Facing Haruka Sakura with a halfhearted effort, Togame ultimately decided to give up, resulting in another win for Bofurin.
However, Sakura was left unsatisfied and demanded why Togame refused to continue the fight. Before answers could be provided, Tomiyama intervened, insisting on an immediate battle with Umemiya.
Togame attempted to persuade Tomiyama to end the conflict between Shishitoren and Bofurin, but Tomiyama, too entrenched in his beliefs, kicked Togame. This provoked Sakura to confront Tomiyama, only for Umemiya to step in and stop the fight.
Episode 8 ended with the two leaders, Tomiyama and Umemiya, entering the ring. Tomiyama reminded everyone that he would take control of Bofurin if he won.
Despite Umemiya’s attempts at reasoning, Tomiyama remained unyielding. The episode concluded with Umemiya, voiced by Yuichi Nakamura, confidently declaring to Tomiyama, “I won’t lose.”
