To celebrate its 30th anniversary, Netflix is releasing a Yu Yu Hakusho live action adaptation.
YuYu Hakusho is adapted from the original Japanese manga series of the same name written and illustrated by Yoshihiro Togashi.
The series tells the story of Yusuke, a teenager who died in an accident while attempting to save a child’s life. He is revived with the purpose of becoming a “Spiritual Detective” tasked to battle the threats of the Underworld.

Netflix dropped a very brief teaser for the Yu Yu Haskusho series back in October.
Just recently, Netflix released its first trailer for the show, and you can watch it here.
According to Netflix, it took them 5 years to complete the production of the series. The team ensured that the subtleties of each character’s emotions were accurately depicted in the adaptation, making fans more excited to get a sneak peek into what the upcoming series has to offer.
