Garena has confirmed that the Arena of Valor World Cup (AWC) will be returning this year. It was canceled last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic along with other major esports tournaments.
The announcement for AWC 2021 was posted on Garena’s social media pages, showing a photo from previous tournaments. The company has not yet revealed the format, schedule, and participating teams for AWC 2021 but has encouraged AoV fans to stay tuned for more updates on their website.
Based on past schedules, the AWC 2021 will start around June.

The AWC is one of the biggest and most prestigious tournaments in the international Arena of Valor scene. The annual competition attracts the best Arena of Valor players from around the world, all who compete under the banner of their respective country.
Vietnam’s Team Flash bagged the AWC 2019 trophy two years ago, defeating Chinese Taipei team MAD Team 4-3 in a best-of-seven final.
