With the incredible success Apex Legends has achieved since launch, it’s no surprise that EA plans to bring the battle royale game to mobile, as well as launch a separate version for the Chinese market.
“We’re in advanced negotiations to bring Apex Legends to China and mobile,” EA’s CFO Black Jorgenson stated in an earnings call on Tuesday, May 7. Jorgenson also mentioned that EA will be self-publishing Apex Legends in Korea.
Jorgenson also revealed how pleased EA is with the game, saying: “Apex Legends is easily the fastest-growing franchise we’ve ever had, and we hope to build a live service that entertains players for years to come.”
Right now there’s no timeline for when the game will be available on mobile but EA did mention that fans should tune in to their EA Play event this June where they will reveal more about Apex Legends Season 2.
