The AWC 2021 Group Stage concluded last weekend, trimming the original 12 teams down to eight.

Teams from Taiwan’s Garena Challenger Series (GCS) and Thailand’s RoV Pro League (RPL) looked dominant in the Group Stage. Each league secured three slots to move on to the tournament’s Knockout Stage.

Support: Kevin (MOP Team)

Most Outstanding Player (MOP) Team showed Arena of Valor fans why they were the champions from the GCS Spring 2021. MOP Team’s Kai-Wen “Kevin” Huang was the most dominant roaming support player in the AWC Group Stage.

Kevin played a huge part in their victory over Overclock Esports, ending Game 1 in just 4 minutes and 27 seconds during Day 4 of the Group Stage. With this, MOP Team made history, beating dtac Talon’s AWC 2021 Group Stage earlier record by just a few seconds.


Mid lane: IpodPro (dtac Talon Esports)

Without a doubt, Pakkapon “IpodPro” Saethong was the best performer at the AWC 2021 Group Stage. This guy bagged seven MVP titles out of all the 12 games played by dtac Talon Esports.

Additionally, IpodPro also holds the highest KDA among all mid laners at the AWC 2021 Group Stage.


Abyssal Dragon: Difoxn (Buriram United Esports)

Fans owe it to Parit “Difoxn” Pornrattanapitak for delivering thrilling matches during the Group Stage.

He helped Buriram United Esports pull off an epic series against AWC 2019 champions Team Flash when they took down all of their opponents’ towers without losing any of theirs.

Difoxn’s Violet did not disappoint his team. He dished out heavy damage to break through Team Flash’s structures, which secured the Thai team a slot in the next stage.

Difoxn previously swapped roles with his team captain Sanpett “FirstOne” Marat for the Arena of Valor International Championship (AIC) 2020. Now, he is back in the Abyssal Dragon lane for AWC 2021.



Dark Slayer: MarkKy (Bacon Time)

Jessadapun “MarkKy” Siriputtanapon holds the record for having the best KDA in the Group Stage. He’s the man behind Bacon Time’s flawless AWC 2021 Group Stage run so far, where they went up against UndeRank, ArchAngel, and AIC 2020 runner-up Saigon Phantom.


Jungle: QuangHai (V Gaming)

AWC 2021 is a memorable tournament for V Gaming, for this is their first appearance on the international stage.

Their jungler Nguyễn “QuangHai” Quang Hải, earned three MVP titles for himself, which is already quite impressive considering that this is his debut performance in a major AoV tournament.
