Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 has launched, and it comes with plenty of new and old weapons to tune up, including the FR 556.
If you want to test the best FR 556 loadout in MW3 yourself, Call of Duty expert Hero on YouTube recently shared a video going over exactly that.
The best FR 556 loadout to dominate in multiplayer
While the FR 556 has one-burst kill potential, he’s actually not the biggest fan of the gun himself. Regardless, for those who want to try it, he provided the best FR 556 loadout worth using. His is focused on semi-auto though rather than burst.
Hero pairs the FR 556 with the TYR handgun as his secondary and loads out the class with the most optimal equipment to get the job done.
Equipment
- Munitions Box
- Scavenger Gloves
- Lightweight Boots
- Ghost T/V Camo
- Bone Conduction Headset
Starting off this build with the underbarrel, he chooses the DR-6 Handstop. This attachment provides a big boost to aim walking speed and aim-down-sight speed, in addition to improvements to movement speed, and sprint-to-fire speed.
For the muzzle, he goes with the Shadowstrike Suppressor. This muzzle makes the user undetectable by radar with nothing in the cons list.
He then puts in the 5.56 Nato Mono ammunition thanks to a plethora of benefits. This ammo provides a large improvement to vehicle damage along with bullet penetration. There’s also a smaller improvement to bullet velocity and damage range while only a smile loss in terms of recoil control.
Hero loads that ammo into a 45-round mag to make sure you can keep up with all the action.
The Slate Reflector is the optic of choice due to a dislike of the iron sights on the FR 556. This is certainly open to preference though.
If you want to try the weapon in burst mode, he suggests adding on the SA ION rear grip to help with recoil control.
Hero’s best FR 556 loadout in MW3:
SLOT | ATTACHMENT |
Muzzle | Shadowstrike Suppressor |
Rear Grip | SA ION (if on burst) |
Ammo | 5.56 Nato Mono |
Optic | Slate Reflector |
Mag | 45-Round mag |
Underbarrel | DR-6 Handstop |
