Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 1 has officially arrived, which means there are plenty of weapon balance changes to explore.

Marine SP
Marine SP has surprisingly become an even deadlier option in close combat as it has notable tweaks to its 12-gauge Gauge Slug performance. The overall improvements has been made to its damage output, range and multipliers which makes it one of the best Shotguns to use in Black Ops 6 Season 1.
To be more specific, the Marine SP now deals 102 damage for its maximum damage range which is a significant improvement from its pre-patch damage of 92.
However, the effective range for maximum damage has been reduced from 0-9.7 meters to just 0-2 meters which makes the shotgun deadlier in point-blank engagements but limits its effectiveness slightly beyond immediate close quarters.
The final changes include a headshot multiplier boost from 1 to 1.5 which makes the precision shots more rewarding. Upper torso and arm damage multipliers have also increased from 1 to 1.1, allowing for higher damage output in center mass hits.
ASG-89
ASG-89 has also been buffed in the latest Black Ops 6 patch as the shotgun has seen a huge improvement in terms of damage output. Its maximum damage now sits at 102, up from 92, but the effective range has been tightened from 0-3.8 meters to 0-1.3 meters.
Thankfully, its effective range has also been extended from 3.9-5.3 meters to 1.4-15.2 meters which means it now both favors range and raw damage.
Much like the Marine SP, the ASG-89’s headshot multiplier increased from 1 to 1.5 and its upper torso and arm multipliers rose to 1.1 from 1. However, its hip spread penalty is steeper as it’s increased by 20%.
Reclaimer 18
Despite receiving a slight nerf in the latest season, Reclaimer 18 continues to be a powerful shotgun in Warzone. Similar to the previous two weapons, this shotgun excels in close-range combat.
The best part is that the weapon received a massive buff in one of the recent updates, granting it a higher rate of fire which means it can consistently score critical kills with its decent range.
