Can you play Black Ops 6 on PS4 and Xbox One?
Activision has officially confirmed that PS4 and Xbox One players can play Call of Duty Black Ops 6 on their previous-gen consoles.
In the latest blog, the game publishers said that users will have access to Black Ops 6 for the current generation (Xbox Series X|S or PlayStation 5), as well as the previous generation of console (Xbox One or PlayStation 4).
However, it’s important to download your preferred version of the game, otherwise, you’re more likely to encounter pesky errors and may have to redownload all the files.
For example, if you’re using an Xbox Series X|S or a PlayStation 5, make sure you download the current generation version of the game when preload goes live. At the same time, Xbox One or PlayStation 4 must download the previous generation version, which might feature slightly toned-down graphics.
Thankfully, players using an Xbox Series X|S or Xbox One console also have the option to play Black Ops 6 via their Game Pass subscription right from day one of its release.
Does Black Ops 6 have crossplay?
Call of Duty fans will be glad to know that Black Ops 6 will support cross-platform multiplayer between Xbox, PlayStation, and PC, meaning all the platforms will be able to matchmake and play together in the game’s multiplayer modes.
However, the campaign is single-player only and does not have a co-op option.
