Black Ops 6 Zombies Season 2 is shaping up to be a game-changer, bringing a host of quality-of-life updates that promise to enhance the gameplay experience for both new and veteran players.
These updates aim to address long-requested features and streamline gameplay across the board.
ONE Esports provides you with a detailed breakdown of what’s coming in BO6 Zombies Season 2, which is set to launch on January 28, 2025.
Preview of quality-of-life updates in Black Ops 6 Zombies Season 2
In addition to introducing the brand-new map, The Tomb, Treyarch has thoughtfully designed the Black Ops 6 Zombies Season 2 updates listed below to incorporate community feedback, ensuring a smoother and more immersive gameplay experience.
Challenge Tracking and Near Completion
Tracking your progress in Zombies as well as Multiplayer is about to become significantly easier. With the new challenge tracking system, players can now manually select up to 10 Calling Card Challenges and 10 Camo Challenges per mode to monitor their progress.
You can choose up to 10 challenges each for Calling Cards and Camos to manually track. If fewer than 10 challenges are tracked, the game will automatically display the ones you are closest to completing. This helps highlight goals that require minimal effort to finish.
The top tracked or near-completion Calling Card Challenge and Camo Challenge will be prominently displayed in the Lobby. These challenges will also appear in-game via the Options Menu for quick access and reference.
This system not only simplifies progress tracking but also provides an intuitive way for players to discover hidden or overlooked challenges nearing completion, boosting overall satisfaction and reward acquisition.
Co-op Pause
One of the most requested features since launch is finally making its way to BO6 Zombies. In matches where all players are in the same party, the party leader will now be able to pause the game for everyone.
This functionality is a game-changer for co-op high-round runs, allowing teams to strategize and regroup without the pressure of ongoing enemy waves, and take quick breaks without disrupting the flow of the match.
AFK Kick Loadout Recovery
Getting disconnected for going AFK can be frustrating, especially when you’ve spent time building up a strong loadout. With this new update, players who are kicked for inactivity in co-op games will have their loadout, Essence, and Salvage restored upon rejoining the match.
This feature is a thoughtful addition that reduces the penalty for unintentional disconnections and ensures a smoother experience for players returning to the fray.
Separate HUD Presets for Zombies and Multiplayer
Customizing your HUD to suit different modes has been a long-standing desire among players, and this update makes it a reality. You’ll now be able to set up your preferred HUD configurations for Zombies and Multiplayer independently.
Thus, you will no longer need to manually adjust your HUD settings when switching between modes. This change eliminates a small but persistent inconvenience, allowing you to jump into your favorite game modes faster.
