Is it possible to unlock Winds of Ash camo in Modern Warfare 3?
No, you can’t unlock Winds of Ash camo in Modern Warfare 3, even though it looks like you can. The Winds of Ash camo is a weapon skin that was available in Modern Warfare 2 as part of a seasonal event.
However, due to a bug in the game, it is also showing up in the camo Select menu of Modern Warfare 3.

Many Reddit users have confirmed that they attempted to unlock the camo by following the challenge requirements, but the game did not track their progress or reward them with the camo.
As of now, Activision, the publisher of the game, has not addressed this issue or provided any official statement on why the camo is appearing in the menu.
Hopefully, the developers will fix this issue soon and either remove the camo from the menu or make it accessible to the players.

Luckily, there is a silver lining for those who had unlocked the Winds of Ash camo in Modern Warfare 2.
Thanks to the carry forward system, a feature that allows players to transfer their progress and unlock from previous Call of Duty games to the newer ones, you can still use the Winds of Ash camo in Modern Warfare 3, but only on the same platform and account.
This means that if you had the Winds of Ash camo in Modern Warfare 2, you can still use it on Modern Warfare 3 weapons, as long as you are playing on the same console or PC and using the same account.
