What is Citadelle des Morts?

Citadelle des Morts, meaning “Citadel of the Dead,” is a haunting new Zombies map set in a medieval French fortress.

With its eerie gothic architecture and supernatural elements, this map promises to be one of the most atmospheric and immersive additions to BO6 Zombies yet.

The story picks up where the Terminus main quest left off, following the dramatic twists and revelations that set the stage for the next chapter. Players will rejoin the core cast—Weaver, Maya, Carver, and Grey—along with a slew of new characters, as they uncover the dark secrets lurking within this sinister stronghold.

As part of the Black Ops 6 Season 1 Reloaded mid-season update, Citadelle des Morts releases on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at 9 a.m. Pacific Time (PT).

In addition to the new map, BO6 Zombies is bringing a treasure trove of fresh content to enrich the gameplay experience.

Players can look forward to a new Perk-A-Cola, complete with six Augments to unlock, which will be available at Der Wunderfizz machines. A new Field Upgrade and Ammo Mod, each with six unlockable Augments, will add further depth to player strategies.

In total, 18 new Augments—split evenly between nine Major and nine Minor upgrades—will provide extensive customization options.

GobbleGum fans can also enjoy three new flavors to bolster their loadouts. New Wonder Weapons in the form of medieval swords are set to join the arsenal, designed to deliver even more firepower.

Adding to the thrill is a sinister new enemy type Doppelghast, said to haunt the shadowy corridors of the ruinous keep in Citadelle des Morts, promising to challenge even the most seasoned players.
