Call of Duty games are known for their large file sizes, and the forthcoming Black Ops 6 is no different.
Slated to release on October 25, 2024, Black Ops 6 is the upcoming first-person shooter game by Activision which will be the twenty-first installment of the Call of Duty series.
As anticipation reaches a fever pitch, Activision released official statements for the game’s download size. With that said, here’s everything we know so far about Black Ops 6 download size.
What is Call of Duty Black Ops 6 download size?
The download size for Black Ops 6 is anticipated to be quite substantial, reflecting its cutting-edge graphics and a variety of content, including a full Campaign, Zombies, and competitive Multiplayer.
PC users need 102 GB of available SSD storage at launch to accommodate the game’s extensive assets. Meanwhile, the exact file size for PlayStation and Xbox players has not yet been officially announced by the developers.
Regardless of platform, players can take advantage of pre-loading, which becomes available on October 21, 2024 at 9 a.m. Pacific Time (PDT), allowing them to start playing as soon as the game officially launches.
Is Black Ops 6 300 GB?
No, the next CoD title will not weigh around 300 GB. This information quickly went viral after the game’s Xbox page listed the massive file size under the installation section.
However, Activision later confirmed that the estimated file size (300 GB) currently displayed on the Black Ops 6 preorder pages does not represent the download size or disk footprint for Black Ops 6.
Instead, the sizes mentioned on the pages include the full installations of Modern Warfare II, Modern Warfare III, Warzone and all relevant content packs, including all localized languages combined which is not representative of a typical player install experience.
As always, players will be able to download B6 at launch without downloading any other Call of Duty titles or all of the language packs.
