The Doppelghast is one of the creepiest and most difficult enemies you’ll encounter in Black Ops 6 Zombies. It can lunge unpredictably, twist itself into knots and sprint faster than the regular zombies thanks to its elongated legs.

The zombie was introduced as a part of the Season 1 reloaded update but locating it is a bit difficult. So if you’re planning to fight against this powerful zombie, here’s how to find Doppelghast’s location and take it down in Black Ops 6.

Where to find Doppelghast in Black Ops 6 Zombies

First, you’ll need to head to the Castle located in the Principality of Avalon, which is a key part of the game’s Citadelle des Morts Easter Egg quest. Once you’re there, find your way to the top of the Castle and look for a cannon. Firing the cannon will blast open a locked door, which eventually gives you access to the area where the creature is lurking.

You’ll find a locked blue crate behind this door. The Doppelghast is hiding inside that crate which means it’ll directly attack you the moment you open the crate. To unlock the crate, simply shoot or melee the locks but be prepared for an immediate attack when it bursts out.

Tips and tricks to defeat Doppelghast in Black Ops 6

Fighting the Doppelghast is no easy task. Its erratic movements make it hard to predict and its speed can quickly overwhelm you if you’re not careful. Rather than standing and firing from the same position, we suggest moving continuously in order to avoid getting cornered.

Open areas in the Castle are your best friend here which gives you space to dodge its lunges. Powerful weapons like shotguns or light machine guns are ideal for dealing heavy damage and aiming for its legs can slow it down when it charges at you.

If you’re playing solo, using equipment like grenades or decoys can give you a much-needed breather. Decoys can distract the creature long enough for you to reload or reposition yourself. In co-op, teamwork becomes crucial as one player can lead the Doppelghast around while the others unload their firepower.

When you finally defeat the Doppelghast, it drops a red crystal known as Blood Aetherium Crystal. Keep in mind that you’ll need this item to complete the Citadelle des Morts Easter Egg. You’ll use the crystal to activate a portal inside the blue crate which leads you to the next phase of the quest.
