The Dune Rule of Fate event is one of these, serving as a collaborative event with the new Dune II movie. The event will be going on for about a week and has some very ludicrous rewards.

MW3 Dune Rule of Fate event — challenges and rewards
This specific event in MW3 doesn’t have any challenges for players to complete. The main task is to accumulate as much XP as possible to earn the rewards present. As such, players will simply need to play the game as much as they can as long as the event is live to make sure they have enough XP to get all the rewards.
There are a total of ten rewards to get through the Dune Rule of Fate event. The ultimate reward for completing the event is the Full Shields Animated Camo. The rewards and XP needed are shown below:

You will need to grind a lot to get all the way to the Full Shields Animated Camo. With a few double XP tokens, it shouldn’t take too long to get that amount of XP.
To get XP much faster, you can buy the Harkonnen Tracer Pack from the store and equip the Harkonnen Hunter skin for Riptide. Equipping that will give you a bonus of 2500 XP for every match completed.
