The Crossplay feature is a boon for players who wish to play Black Ops 6 with users from other platforms. However, there are problems with this that lead to people looking for ways to disable crossplay in Black Ops 6.
Alas, Black Ops 6 doesn’t have an in-game option to disable crossplay. That doesn’t mean you can’t do it though.
How to disable Crossplay in Black Ops 6
However, there are some bypasses that let you force this option in the shooter. With this guide, we’ll teach you how to do so on your chosen platform.
Steps to disable crossplay on every platform in Black Ops 6
For every console, the steps will be different for every platform, so we’ve separated the procedure for each of them. You can check down the steps below:
Disable BO6 crossplay on Xbox
There is no in-game option to switch off crossplay on Xbox, thus requiring an alternate method. This method is a bit complicated, so follow the steps in proper order to ensure success:
- Open the settings menu on your Xbox (Not in Black Ops 6).
- Find the option stating Online Safety & Family and open it. Under it, you’ll find the Privacy & Online Safety menu.
- Open the Xbox Privacy settings and pick the View Details & Customize option.
- After that, you’ll see an option for Communication & Multiplayer and open it.
- In the Communication & Multiplayer settings, change “You can join cross-network play” to “Block.”
Disable BO6 crossplay on PlayStation 5
To disable crossplay on PlayStation 5, players need to head to the Account and Network menu in Black Ops 6. Here are the steps to find this menu in Black Ops 6:
- Open Black Ops 6 and go to the settings menu.
- On the left choose the last option (Account and Network) to bring up all the related options.
- You’ll see an option stating “Crossplay.” Press the X button to toggle it on/off.
Disable BO6 crossplay on PC
Sadly, there is no way to disable crossplay on the PC version of Black Ops 6. If an option is added for the platform, we will update this guide accordingly.
