Looking to dominate in Modern Warfare 3 Multiplayer by wielding two primary weapons?
Whether you pair a sniper rifle with an assault rifle or choose another powerful combination, this strategy can give you a decisive advantage, enabling you to handle diverse combat scenarios effortlessly.
Furthermore, some challenges in the game specifically require using a pair of primary weapons.
In this ONE Esports guide, we walk you through the steps to equip two primary weapons so that you can maximize your firepower on the battlefield and fulfill challenges.
How to have 2 primary weapons in MW3
To equip two primary weapons in MW3, you need to unlock the following vests that allow such mechanic:
- Gunner Vest: Unlocks at level 20, offers maximum ammo capacity and enhanced reload speed.
- Overkill Vest: Unlocks at level 50, enables faster weapon switching and reloading while sprinting.
Once you have either vest, follow these steps:
- Head over to the “Weapons” section from the main menu.
- Choose the loadout you wish to modify.
- Pick either the Gunner or Overkill Vest.
- In the second weapon slot, select your alternate primary weapon.
Remember that equipping the Gunner Vest disables the effect of the Mag Holster gear perk and replaces it with the Mission Comlink ability.
Meanwhile, if you wear the Overkill Vest with either the Quick-Grip or Commando Gloves, you’ll gain the benefits of Marksman Gloves instead.
