Here’s how to get into Research Office on Terminus in BO6 Zombies
1. Turn on the power by activating the AMP Generators
To restore power on Terminus, you’ll need to activate three Aetherium Maturation Pod (AMP) Generators scattered across the map.
These generators are marked with a distinct orange diamond symbol featuring a black star in the center, visible on your HUD and minimap as floating icons to help you locate them.
Generator 1: Guard Station
The first generator is located at the Guard Station, just ahead of the spawn area. To activate it, you’ll need to spend 500 Essence points and defend it from attacking zombies.
During the countdown, zombies with purple glowing eyes will prioritize damaging the generator instead of targeting you, so you must protect it until the timer runs out. Any extra zombies that spawn for this event will despawn once the countdown is complete.
If the generator is destroyed, it will enter a cooldown state, requiring you to wait until the next round to reactivate it.
Generator 2: Living Quarters
After successfully defending the first generator, head outside through a door near the Gobblegum machine. Follow the orange diamond marker, which leads you down to the Control Center.
Descend the stairs and open the locked door leading to the Communications area, where you’ll notice a purple arrow on a fence pointing to a door on the right. This path takes you to the Living Quarters.
Inside, you’ll find the Jugger-Nog machine and the second generator. To activate it, spend another 500 Essence and repeat the same process: defend the generator from zombies until the countdown finishes.
Generator 3: Bio Lab
The final generator is located in the Bio Lab, a hidden facility deep underground. Exit the Living Quarters through the opposite door and make your way to the Rec Yard. Ascend the stairs and enter the blue house, where another purple arrow will direct you to a door leading out to the Seaside Path.
Follow the path downhill, passing by the Deadshot Daiquiri machine, until you reach the entrance of a cave blocked by rocks.
Spend Essence points to clear the blockage and proceed through the cave. At the end of the cave, you’ll find a door that leads to the Bio Lab, an underground facility.
The third generator is located at the center of the Bio Lab. Activate it and defend it just as before. Successfully completing this task will restore power to the entire Terminus map.
2. Purchase Dead Wire Ammo Mod
To proceed to the next step, locate the Arsenal Machine near the third AMP Generator in the Bio Lab and purchase the Dead Wire Ammo Mod. This modification will play a crucial role in the upcoming tasks.
Ensure you have at least 500 Salvage, as this is the cost required to buy an Ammo Mod.
3. Activate the inclined lift
Inside the Bio Lab, you’ll spot a body of water with a railing that leads up to ground level. Dive into the water near the railing, and you’ll find the Pack-a-Punch machine submerged beneath the surface. Directly opposite the Pack-a-Punch is the control panel for the inclined lift platform.
Interact with the control machine to bring the lift platform level with the Bio Lab. Once it’s aligned, spend 500 Essence to reactivate the lift and ascend to ground level.
4. Shoot the fuse boxes leading to Research Office
As you ascend using the lift, turn around and look toward the hidden room behind you to locate the first fuse box. Shoot it to trigger an electrical current, causing sparks to travel to the next fuse box.
The second fuse box is positioned midway up the lift’s path, so keep an eye out as you continue ascending. The third fuse box can be found at the very top of the lift route.
Next, head to the Living Quarters, where the fourth fuse box is located above the AMP Generator. Once you’ve shot it, step outside the Living Quarters and find the fifth and final fuse box to the left of the entrance.
Once you’ve successfully shot all five fuse boxes, the Research Office will unlock, granting access to the Beamsmasher workbench.
