Black Ops 6 has three powerful snipers, but not all of them are equally viable in those long-range engagements. Here’s our ranking of the best snipers in Black Ops 6.
Black Ops 6 multiplayer maps offer sniper-wielding players frequent opportunities for advantageous positioning.
Players who excel at landing headshots and spotting enemies will enjoy using the LW3AI Frostline, LR 7.62, and SVD—the three sniper rifles in Black Ops 6. While each sniper excels in specific areas, one stands out as an all-rounder.
Black Ops 6 Season 1 is on the horizon, and before ranked kick starts, it’s worth looking into the best snipers to use.
What are the best snipers in Black Ops 6?
Here’s our ranking of best snipers in Black Ops 6:
Best Bo6 snipers
3. LR 7.62
LR 7.62 is the best sniper in the bolt-action category since it promises one-shot kill at long range, something that LW3AI lacks at times. On larger maps, LR 7.62 dominates with its low recoil, allowing more stability and accuracy.
However, players may find its slow ADS and fire rate a tad bit annoying, but it’s nothing that Rapid Fire Mod and Quickdraw Grip attachments can’t fix.
2. LW3AI Frostline
The LW3AI is an excellent sniper, especially since it’s unlocked by default. As the second-best bolt-action sniper, it shines for quick-scopers and offers the best mobility in its category. However, it falls short in the damage department.
On larger maps, players may struggle to secure kills with torso shots due to the LW3AI’s subpar damage fall-off rate.
To tackle these shortcomings, we recommend using the Ranger Pad and Commandor Riser attachment to turn the LW3AI Frostline into a damage powerhouse.
1. SVD
The SVD stands out as the best sniper rifle in Black Ops 6 for several reasons. Unlike bolt-action rifles, it doesn’t require manual cycling, which enhances its already high fire rate as a semi-automatic sniper.
SVD is the best sniper to use in the current meta for quick scoping and chaining kills together. It helps that it has the largest magazine in its category, which further sweetens the deal.
SVD sounds like a catch, but it does have small downsights. For example, weapon flinch may make it slightly less accurate and increase recoil. This can be mitigated by opting for Heavy Stock and Ported Compensator or referring to the best SVD loadout.
